NICKELBACK Frontman Says SALIVA Singer Was Properly Compensated For 'Spider-Man' Soundtrack

ABC ePrep is reporting that NICKELBACK frontman Chad Kroeger has reacted to SALIVA singer Josey Scott's complaints that Chad never properly compensated him for his work on "Hero", the song the two performed together in 2002 for the "Spider-Man" movie soundtrack.

Chad says that at the time, Josey and everyone else who worked on the song agreed to a one-time-only five-thousand-dollar payment, so he doesn't understand why Josey thinks he's entitled to more. As Chad points out, Josey didn't write the song — he did — so he's entitled to the royalties, not Josey. In fact, Chad thinks that Josey's complaints are all a big publicity stunt to whip up interest in his band SALIVA's new album.
